Gurgaon First is a civic initiative founded in 2012 with a vision to promote sustainability, good governance, and stakeholder empowerment in the city. We believe in the power of collaboration and information-sharing to tackle critical urban challenges and foster meaningful change.
Over the years, Gurgaon First has evolved into a trusted platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue, civic engagement, and impactful urban initiatives. We actively bring together government agencies, industry leaders, NGOs, Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), and citizens to co-create solutions for a better Gurgaon.

To empower Gurgaon residents with good quality information and to act as a catalyst for positive change by bringing together various stakeholders of Gurgaon.

Key Achievements
- Organised 47+ workshops and roundtables on urban issues including clean air, water, waste, and transport
- Published four civic handbooks, including Gurugram’s first Waste Management Handbook (Swachh Bharat Mission)
- Launched a Women’s Helpline and supported pioneering initiatives like Raahgiri Foundation and Haryana Fresh
- Produced 15+ social awareness songs under Music for Cause on air pollution, pedestrian safety, and women’s empowerment
- Reached 8,000+ delegates across programmes since 2012
